My name is Jazmyne and I am an enthusiastic reader and writer. There is nothing more I love to do than read books and uncover the meaning behind them as it relates to our world. Why I Am Starting This Blog
Ever had a story linger on your mind after reading it front to back? The purpose of this blog is to share my favorite reads and to discuss the characters, themes, and intricate details threaded throughout the stories. I will be sharing my opinion on the characters, plot, and how the themes relate to the world we live in.
Did I mention that I also like to write works of my own? I will also be sharing my journey of creative writing, and give a little insight on my process to help you!
I am starting this blog in hopes of giving avid readers an outlet to share their thoughts on certain books, and to encourage writers to take the leap of faith and start perfecting their craft.

Book Discussions
Read with me! This section means exactly what it says. Here I will be discussing the plot of books and the deeper meaning woven within it. I will be asking questions about the choices characters have made, why, and what they mean. You can find things like book club discussion questions, character analyses, and book recommendations.
Usually I read a book halfway through and discuss my initial thoughts and predictions (checkpoint discussion). So I might try to predict the culprit in a murder mystery or point out the foreshadowing I picked up on. Finally, when I finish the book, I give my opinions and insight on the meaning I gathered (final discussion). Feel free to share your thoughts as well!
Book Reviews
Here I will be writing spoiler-free book reviews which includes a quick summary or the synopsis, a rating out of 5 stars (5 meaning it was SPECTACULAR, 1 meaning it was a BAD EXPERIENCE), and general information. Then I will fully review the book in three quick sections that gives my opinions on the story/plot, characters, and writing. If you are uncertain of whether you want to spend your time or precious money on a book, then check this section out.
Writing
Are you an aspiring writer? Here you will find creative writing tips and resources meant to improve your skill set. You will find writing prompts, as well as get a little bit of insight on my personal writing process. Through this journey, you are guaranteed to pick up some helpful creative writing tips, writing prompts, insight on the publishing industry, and ideas to market your own writing.
